Yosemite Park is closed by the shutdown, but I just figured out the main highway through (Hwy 120) is still open. Although you can’t stop over. All that means very little traffic, GREAT driving & awesome scenery.
And then I found out about some friends meeting up this weekend in Denver. And since Denver is just a hop skip and a (1,000) mile jump from Yosemite….
Needless to say, I will not be posting a whole heck of a lot for the next few days.
I was going to bring my camping gear and take my time coming back, but the national parks will all be closed so…. I think this whole thing will run until the last minute of the October 17 default deadline and quite possibly a bit over it. Sigh.
